“You may feel disconnected—from yourself, others, or a sense of purpose. The strategies that once helped you cope may now leave you feeling stuck or uncertain about what really matters. Whether you’re burnt out, overextended, or struggling to speak up, you deserve a space that feels safe, warm, and nonjudgmental.
Our work will help you face the past with compassion so you can live more fully in the present—with greater authenticity, ease, and emotional freedom. I draw from somatic therapies, my background in dance, and lived experience as a parent and caregiver. Together, we’ll explore how inherited patterns shape you—and how to create more nurturing legacies for the future”
Q & A
How do you describe your counseling style?
I aim to create a welcoming space where you can be open to explore your full self, including the parts of you that you might like to change or hide from the world. I incorporate somatic tools in therapy so you can have more resources to navigate challenges you face and an expanded capacity for resilience and self compassion.
What kind of patients do you work best with? Are there any particular areas of focus that really excite you?
I love to support adults who were raised in dysfunctional families to break generational patterns and create healthier relationships. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally who also enjoys working with clients in recovery. I like to share resources like podcasts, readings, and apps to support clients outside of session.
What are experiences that have especially impacted your work as a therapist?
My daily meditation and yoga practice helps ground me and remind me of the importance of play and mindful awareness in life. My training in Non-Violent Communication (NVC) has expanded my capacity to help me (and clients!) identify and communicate needs, feelings and values in order to build more connected relationships. My past role as a hospital advocate for victims of sexual and domestic violence, along with my experience facilitating groups in an intensive outpatient setting inform the way I show up with care with survivors of trauma, addiction and shame. But more than anything, my experience as a parent and elder caregiver has given me the ability to understand the complexities in life and the importance of self compassion and honest connection with others.
