“Therapy can be a space to come home to yourself, to reconnect with your emotions, your body, and the parts of you that feel hidden, confused, misunderstood, or in pain. My role is to walk alongside you as you begin to see yourself and the world around you through a more compassionate and empowered lens. I believe you already hold the insight and capacity for transformation. I will just be there to help you access it as you move toward a fuller, freer, and more grounded life.“
Q & A
How do you describe your counseling style?
As a therapist, I work collaboratively with you, always honoring that you are the expert of your own life. Our work together will move at a pace that feels right for you, grounded in a relationship built on trust, safety, and connection. I take a trauma-informed approach and believe in the healing that can come from understanding how early life experiences shape present-day patterns and challenges. While this insight forms the foundation of my work, I also draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, including AEDP, IFS, EMDR, attachment theory, CBT, and mindfulness, to meet your unique needs and support your growth in a way that feels attuned and empowering.
Who is your favourite TV therapist?
Couples Therapy, which follows the work of Dr. Orna Guralnik, has quickly become one of my favorite therapy shows. Dr. Guralnik is a skilled and insightful therapist, and I find it fascinating to observe how she builds deep rapport with her clients, uses thoughtful confrontation as a valuable intervention, and summarizes the client’s complex emotional experiences into digestible language. Watching her work is both a treat and a valuable learning experience.
Have you been in therapy yourself?
Absolutely, I have been in therapy myself, and it is a big part of why I became a therapist. Experiencing firsthand how transformative and healing therapy can be made me deeply curious about the process and inspired me to support others in the same way. I truly believe that to be a good therapist, it is important to do your own inner work, and for me, that includes having a good therapist of my own.
